Tricycle is a waste sorting tool developed by the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, designed to support the cycle of waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and valorization. This project, which required several months of work, allowed us to develop a powerful web tool including an interactive map. In addition to developing the tool, we also had the opportunity to name it Tricycle, which was almost as easy as learning to pedal!
The sorting of materials that end up in our recycling bins is often the subject of intense debate. While the emphasis of the experience is on using the tool and the very informal content of the platform, we still allowed ourselves to add a touch of whimsy with illustrations and icons that lighten the text. The ultimate goal behind implementing such tools is clearly to educate citizens and encourage them to adopt better practices when it comes to depositing materials in the bin.
Visiter le site web →We have been commissioned by the MRC Vaudreuil-Soulanges to execute their latest campaign 'Fais pas juste recycler, Tricycle'. We opted for a short and straightforward slogan to raise awareness about recycling materials while promoting the Tricycle tool. Managing social media was also part of our responsibilities, so we created and implemented the content calendar while monitoring the campaign's performance.
Behind the photo shoot and the production of the video capsule, there are hours and hours of brainstorming, material research, logistics, and testing to achieve the final result. Everything must be extremely well organized because once the cameras start rolling, time is limited and very precious.
What better way than a quiz to test our knowledge and learn more about best practices related to sorting waste materials. That's why we've created a landing page with a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions about sorting habits. It's an effective technique that allows us to collect data.
Inside this campaign targeting exclusively the citizens of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, we utilized geotargeting. Our team managed all advertising placements across social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, and YouTube. Additionally, we included national media outlets like TOU.TV and TVA. The strategy also encompassed Adwords and Display advertising placements.
Thanks to the creation of our interactive web tool and an advertising campaign across multiple social networks, the Tricycle website will have generated nearly 705 clicks and 172,629 impressions.
